Caixin Summit: Tensions With U.S. Loom Over Middle Eastern Investment to China, Executive Says
Investcorp co-CEO said there could be even more opportunities in tech and beyond once geopolitical roadblocks are removed

Current China-U.S. tensions will continue to “cast a cloud of concern” over the growing number of opportunities for partnership and investment in China for the Middle East, an executive at the Gulf region’s largest non-sovereign wealth fund said Thursday.
“As a global investor, I’m nervous … I make an investment in a very successful tech company in China, but then all of a sudden this very successful company becomes flagged by some agencies in the West,” Investcorp Holdings Co-CEO Hazem Ben-Gacem told a panel at the 14th Caixin Summit in Beijing.
