Chinese shippers traversing the Red Sea are ramping up security measures while exporters are seeking alternative routes to transport their goods, as Yemen’s Houthis continue to fire missiles at, and in some cases board, passing vessels.

Since November, Houthi militants have launched attacks on dozens of commercial and military vessels in and around the Red Sea to show support for Hamas in Gaza, where Israel continues the war.
