Alibaba to cut cloud unit’s staff by 7%

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. is cutting 7% of employees in its cloud computing division, Caixin has learned, as the tech giant kicks off a plan to spin off the unit for an eventual IPO as part of its reorganization.
