Huawei partners with Chery on new electric vehicle
Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. unveiled a new electric vehicle (EV) featuring the software giant’s most advanced operating system and built in collaboration with leading carmaker Chery Automobile Co. Ltd.
Branded the Luxeed, the car is the first to be equipped with Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4.0 mobile operating system. The EV, developed under Huawei’s Smart Selection partnership with state-owned Chery, a manufacturing partner of Jaguar’s Land Rover, is set to debut in coming weeks, according to Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s consumer and smart car divisions.
