The country’s strategy has evolved from setting up special zones in coastal areas to a more advanced level that focuses on its domestic circulation and expanding institutional opening-up
The Communist Party of China’s 20th National Congress reiterated the need for the country to promote high-standard opening-up.
The party said that China will leverage the strengths of its enormous market, attract global resources and production factors with its strong domestic economy, and amplify the interplay between domestic and international markets and resources. This will position the country to improve the level and quality of international trade and investment cooperation, it added.
The party has therefore set out five tasks:
